Clipboard History

macOS Alpha only; capture defaults ON (Phil, 2026-07-26 — the encrypted, local-only store is the privacy answer, so explicit consent is no longer the gate) and the menu-bar row is a click-on/click-off toggle. Metadata-first policy rejects concealed, transient, generated, self-authored, and excluded-app clipboard changes before payload reads. The package preserves transaction item boundaries and allowed representations in encrypted local storage. The app supplies the NSPasteboard polling/restore adapter, frontmost source-app metadata, a non-synchronizing Keychain key, and the global palette host. Clipboard-history payloads remain excluded from Local API reads, logs, telemetry, and App Control. The sole narrow exception is the explicit opt-in, write-only alpha VNC image-paste route: a separately scoped token may submit a bounded PNG only during its current app-owned VNC presence lease; bytes are never echoed or persisted and the response contains only an opaque receipt and pasteboard change count. Those /v1/local/clipboard/image routes are attributed to the compute capability, not clipboard-history: they are a paste utility of the app-owned VNC session and never touch the history store, so this feature's api axis stays notApplicable as a statement about clipboard *contents*.
